You upload your bill. We compare your rate with current Ohio offers. If there’s a better deal, we show you what you’d save and help you sign up.
We compare your electricity supply (generation) rate in cents per kilowatt-hour (¢/kWh). Your utility still handles delivery (distribution) and outages. A lower supply rate won’t reduce every charge on your bill.
Here’s what a lower supply price changes.
An eligible Ohio business can compare its electricity supply rate with supplier offers using the same kWh usage. Compare monthly fees, term length, and cancellation fees alongside the rate. Your utility still delivers electricity, and you review the supplier’s agreement before enrolling.
Worked example with fictional rates and usage. This is not a customer result, a live supplier offer, or your savings estimate.
Same sample month. Same 2,000 kWh.
| Bill item | Current | New offer |
|---|---|---|
| Supply price | 12¢ / kWh | 9¢ / kWh |
| Supply cost | $240 | $180 |
| Other charges* | $95 | $95 |
| Sample bill total | $335 | $275 |
$60 less for this sample month. That’s 2,000 kWh × a 3¢ supply-price difference.
*For teaching only, $95 of delivery and other charges is held unchanged. Your real bill can include taxes, riders, demand charges, and other items that vary. The comparison tool estimates supply costs, not a new total bill. The sample assumes no added supplier monthly or cancellation fee.
A year uses a year of usage.
This sample business used 18,000 kWh over its actual past 12 months. One busy month doesn’t represent the whole year.
18,000 kWh × $0.03$540 annual supply-cost differenceWe compare that annual usage at the current supply rate and the new fixed rate. We don’t multiply this month’s $60 difference by 12.
This comparison covers a full year after the new rate starts. Your usage and current supply rate can change. If annual history is missing, we show only the comparison for the bill’s usage. A switch can take several billing cycles; ask the supplier when the new rate will start.

Which part of my electricity bill could change?+
We compare the electricity supply, or generation, price. Your utility still delivers electricity and handles outages. Supply savings do not mean the same percentage reduction in your entire bill; delivery charges, taxes, demand charges, and other items need separate review.
How is the sample year of savings calculated?+
In the worked example, the supply-rate difference is 3 cents per kWh. The sample business used 18,000 kWh over its actual past 12 months, so the annual supply-cost comparison is 18,000 × $0.03 = $540. We do not multiply the sample month’s $60 difference by 12. These are fictional rates and usage, not a live offer or a forecast.
Will switching suppliers change who delivers my electricity?+
No. Choosing a different electricity supplier changes the supply arrangement. Your utility still delivers electricity and handles outages. You review and submit the supplier’s agreement yourself, and the supplier confirms eligibility and the date the new rate will start.
What does this cost?+
Nothing. The check and signup walkthrough are free. This is one way Start AI Cincy shows you what AI can do for your business. Your details are saved as a lead, and Mark may email or call to learn more about your business and discuss custom tools. You don’t have to book a call or buy anything, and you’re not added to automatic marketing emails.
Are you switching me automatically?+
No. You choose the offer, review the supplier’s agreement and submit it yourself. We don’t sign contracts or disconnect your utility.
What if I already have a good rate?+
We’ll tell you if your current supply price matches or beats the listed offers we find with these filters. You can still download the prompt and set a reminder.
Does $0 cancellation mean there’s no contract?+
No. These are fixed-term offers for 12–36 months. The listed early termination fee is $0, but you still need to read the agreement and renewal terms.
How long does a switch take?+
It can take several billing cycles. Check the actual start date with the supplier. Your existing plan applies until the switch takes effect.
How do you estimate a year of savings?+
We use your actual past 12 months of electricity use and compare that same amount at today’s Duke supply rate and the new fixed rate. Duke’s rate and your usage can change. This is a supply-cost comparison for a full year after the new rate starts, not a guaranteed forecast. If your annual history is missing, we only show a comparison for this bill’s usage.
What happens to my information?+
Your bill is read with your permission. We save your contact details and check as a lead so Mark at Start AI Cincy can follow up about your business and custom tools that could help. We don’t save the original bill on our servers or add you to automatic marketing emails. The terms and privacy page explain the details.
